Brummen, the Netherlands, 26 July, 2025: Under the banner ‘Where ink meets intelligence’ GSE (Stand 3A-47) will showcase ink dispensing and software innovations that simplify ink workflows for packaging printers, resulting in efficient operations, shorter makeready times, and a more responsive, compliant production environment.
Innovation highlights include:
- A new software package, GSE Advanced reporting, for automatic generation of ink usage and availability reports;
- An additional version of the manual Colorsat FCS ink dispenser with robust housing, intended for use in production environments, and for less frequent printing requirements
- The Colorsat Solo ink dispenser, for single-ingredient dispensing – with a new modular design, adaptable to requirements
- An opportunity for stand visitors to digitally design and visualise their ideal ink workflow, using touchpads.
Ink manager software powers workflow digitalisation
GSE Ink manager (GIm) software empowers converters to work more efficiently with inks, and also use data about their resources for better strategic decision-making.
The software is able to track ink ingredients through non-linear workflow routes such as blending and press-return cycles that spot colours undergo. As a result, its suite of optional programs provide solutions for tracing inks and automating ink-related processes at each step of the workflow, such as purchasing, managing inventories, creating colour recipes, dispensing and re-using press returns. This means converters can meet customers’ colour requirements reliably and faster, with reduced administration or risk of errors.
Capable of integrating with corporate MIS and cloud platforms, GIm software also allows easier visibility of data about consumption, real-time availability and costs of ink resources, allowing improved planning and reporting.
A highlight to be exhibited at the stand is GSE Advanced reporting, which offers automatic report generation for deeper insights into ink consumption, compliance and forecasting.
Colorsat ink dispensers for efficiency and food safety compliance
GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems achieve accurate, repeatable spot colour quality, on-demand. Potentially cutting ink consumption by up to 30%, the dispensers help converters to reduce ink-related waste and carbon emissions, while cutting waiting time. Colorsat automatic dispensers offer compliance with food safety standards on ink handling, by facilitating direct connection of ink ingredient barrels, drip-free barrel exchange and blending without manual intervention.
Colorsat dispensers are customised to ink-set and volume requirements. Their modular design features interchangeable components, offering efficient footprint, extendibility and easy adaptability to changing ink usage needs. The Colorsat Switch dispenser, exhibited, uses exchangeable buckets and drums and a modular, space-saving waterfall frame.
New ‘industrial’ version of manual FCS Dispenser exhibited
Also on the stand will be a new, additional version of the manual FCS Dispenser, intended for less frequent printing runs. The new version’s robust housing, designed to withstand operation in production environments, enables its integration with GSE’s suite of modular dispensers.
To demonstrate this, the new FCS Dispenser will be exhibited with a Colorsat Solo Dispenser, for single ingredient dispensing, with both dispensers sharing a common computer interface and weighing scale.
GSE’s Colorsat Solo has a modular design, to support different configurations and needs for single-ingredient dispensing.
Digitally design and visualise the ideal ink workflow on the stand!
There will also be an augmented reality (AR)-powered virtual ink room, with touch pads, allowing visitors to digitally design ink workflows and visualise how these may be integrated within their own operations – helping speed up decision-making.
Maarten Hummelen comments: “Control over ink processes and knowing more about your resources – whether you work with spot colours or expanded gamut – are critical features of a fast-response, sustainable package print operation.
At Labelexpo Europe, we will demonstrate how customised ink dispensing and integrated ink management software provides the basis for achieving repeatable colour with the most efficient use of resources, and the seamless sharing of information for intelligent, strategic decision-making.”
